‘Beechcroft’ is a tall, upright chrysanthemum with attractive grey-green foliage, growing to around 110cm. From October into November, apricot-orange buds unfurl to reveal large, daisy-like flowers in a soft pale pink, each with a fine orange ring around a warm yellow centre — one of the latest-flowering hardy chrysanthemums you can grow.
An old variety lovingly re-named by plantswoman Rosy Hardy, ‘Beechcroft’ is a superb cut flower, bringing a last flourish of autumn warmth into the home. Reliable and fully hardy, it thrives in full sun or partial shade in a well-drained soil.
Potential skin allergen — wear gloves when handling.
