Commonly known as Zagreb tickseed, this clump-forming, bushy perennial has fine green foliage and produces masses of golden yellow, star-like flowers on wiry stems throughout summer.
Notably tolerant of coastal conditions and salt spray, it is equally at home in flower beds, borders and containers. It requires well-drained soil — it dislikes waterlogging in winter — and performs best in sun or partial shade.
