'Black Knight' bears large, almost opulent dark violet-blue flowers with a dark eye on tall, imposing spikes above attractively cut green foliage. This Larkspur is renowned for its height and depth of colour.
It looks stunning planted in groups within a sunny border, drawing the eye and adding early summer structure and panache. Once the first flush of flower spikes has faded, cut them out at the base to encourage further flowering in late summer. This iconic cottage garden plant thrives in rich, fertile soil in full sun.
All parts of the plant are poisonous.
