Dianthus armeria, commonly known as Deptford Pink, is a biennial that produces clusters of dark pink, single flowers on long stems through summer. The narrow foliage is dark green.
A great choice for a wildflower area where it can freely self-seed. Sadly, Dianthus armeria has been in decline in the wild since 1930, making garden cultivation all the more worthwhile. It thrives in well-drained soil in a sunny site.
