Digitalis purpurea f. albiflora

Commonly known as the white foxglove, this elegant biennial produces willowy spires of pure white, thimble-shaped flowers that hang gracefully to one side, rising from soft, hairy basal rosettes of foliage.

Much beloved by Gertrude Jekyll and used extensively in her white garden planting schemes, it is a wonderful plant for illuminating and lightening borders, weaving effortlessly between other plants. It is equally at home in dappled woodland settings. Bees and other beneficial insects are irresistibly drawn to its flowers. This Digitalis thrives in a rich, moist soil in partial shade, though it will tolerate more sun.

All parts are poisonous.
