Galium odoratum

Commonly known as 'Sweet Woodruff', it bears fragrant clusters of small, starry, white flowers over spreading, lush, green foliage.  

This delightful woodland plant really helps to illuminate areas of the garden in partial shade. A favourite plant at RHS Chelsea for woodland and wildlife gardens, it looks charming underplanting deciduous shrubs in a border.  It also makes excellent and decorative ground cover. It will thrive in any free draining soil that retains some moisture, in partial shade.
