Delicate trumpet-like flowers with pure white petals, veined apple-green, dance above mounds of glossy fresh green foliage. Commonly known as Knotted Cranesbill, Geranium nodosum 'Silverwood' blooms intermittently from May to September.
A real asset in a dry shady border — traditionally one of the trickier spots in the garden — it also looks lovely weaving through a dappled woodland planting. Easy-going and reliable, it performs best in partial or full shade but will tolerate sun. It grows well in any reasonably fertile soil that is not waterlogged. Attractive to pollinators.
