A larger-flowering form of Mountain Cranesbill, Geranium pyrenaicum 'Isparta' produces lilac-mauve flowers with darker veins over hummocks of mid-green, rounded leaves. Blessed with a long flowering period, it enjoys full sun but tolerates partial shade, its blooms illuminating darker areas of the garden from spring onwards.
Great for ground cover and keeping those pesky weeds down, this tough plant looks equally good at the front of an informal border or in a gravel garden. It performs best in free-draining soil with some richness in full sun to partial shade.
