Geranium sanguineum 'Album'

The white form of Bloody Cranesbill, G. sanguineum ‘Album’ produces a carpet of large, bright white saucer-shaped flowers above small, deeply lobed dark green foliage that turns red in autumn. Long-flowering and low maintenance, it is a classic cottage garden plant. Trim back faded flower stems to encourage further flushes. Use as decorative ground cover to suppress weeds, at the front of a border, or as part of a wildflower meadow planting. Bees love it. Unfussy about soil, it will grow in any reasonably fertile, well-drained position in sun or partial shade.
