Despite its size, this ankle-high Geranium sanguineum 'Max Frei' packs quite a punch with vivid magenta-pink flowers held just above gentle mounds of delicately cut foliage.
A tough little customer, it is a great choice for a rock or gravel garden, or to soften the hard edging of steps or a path while helping to keep weeds at bay. Butterflies love its nectar-rich flowers too.
It prefers well-drained soil in full sun.
