Large copper-orange flowers with ruffled petals appear on slender, wiry stems above bushy, hairy green foliage from midsummer into September. With its intense colour and generous flower size, this Geum always draws a crowd on our RHS Chelsea Flower Show display — Carol Klein loved it.
Ideal for a hot-themed border, it looks stunning planted in large groups, flowering its socks off for several months when deadheaded regularly. It combines strikingly with jewel colours — strong purples, pinks, reds and blues — or with whites for a fresher look. Low maintenance, it will grow in most soils in sun or partial shade.
