Vivid, semi-double scarlet flowers float on branching stems high above clumps of fuzzy, crinkled, dark green foliage. Regularly deadhead spent flowers to encourage more blooms.
An iconic and deservedly popular cottage garden plant, Geum 'Mrs J. Bradshaw' adds panache and style to any hot planting scheme, delivering eye-popping colour from June through to August. It combines beautifully with purples, blues, oranges and other reds — Dahlia 'Bishop of Llandaff' is an excellent follow-on plant. It performs best in a sunny site in free-draining soil and can tolerate some moisture but not waterlogging.
