Delicate apricot flowers with five notched petals, evenly distributed like the spokes of a wheel around bright orange stamens, gently bob on short, fuzzy stems above deeply cut green foliage.
Much sought after for its unusual tone, this G. chiloense cultivar can be hard to find. It combines beautifully with a wide range of colours — whites, blues, purples, and reds — making it a versatile choice in the garden. Showcase it in a pretty planter or grow in large drifts at the front of a border, where it will clump up quickly and help keep weeds down. It performs best in any reasonable soil in a sunny or partially shaded spot.
