Large, pale yellow flowers with wavy petals open from gently nodding buds held on short, hairy stems above mounds of mid-green basal foliage.
This large-flowered form of Geum rivale is much sought after by designers, as it brightens lightly shaded areas and makes excellent mass planting for damp but not waterlogged ground, such as adjacent to a stream. The foliage is most useful for ground cover. It prefers moderately fertile, moisture-retentive soil in sun or light shade.
