'Vicky' is possibly the first picotee flower in a Helenium. In midsummer on erect stems, red flowers with yellow edges appear over green linear foliage. 'Vicky' is an upright perennial which bulks up quickly. Introduced in 1999 by Peter and Barbel Zur Linden.
When planting these dependable perennials in your borders choose a sunny location with a reasonably fertile soil, which doesn't become too dry over the summer months. Perfect for 'hot themed' borders and informal cottage garden style planting schemes. Keep dead-heading to prolong flowering.
