Plants are dispatched in growing condition and may not be in full flower. If too tall to pack safely, we may cut them back — this helps them establish more quickly. Read our Mail Order FAQs.
Despite its modest size, this small shrub is a real showstopper, producing hanging clusters of purplish-pink flowers rather like a Wisteria from late spring into summer, singing out against fresh green, pea-like foliage.
Native to China, it will slowly spread to form attractive ground cover, with the added bonus of stunning yellow autumn foliage. In very cold winters, stems may die back but the plant will typically regenerate from the base.
H4 — hardy through most of the UK (-10°C to -15°C). May need protection in the coldest regions.
