Lathyrus vernus 'Gracilis Alboroseus' is a dainty, clump-forming perennial that puts on a charming display in spring. The typical pea-shaped flowers have a pale pink standard and a white keel, held above fine, arching green leaves. Unlike the annual sweet pea, this is a well-behaved, non-climbing perennial that stays neatly in place.
Partial shade is the ideal situation for this Spring Vetchling to flourish, and it is unfussy about soil type, making it a versatile and easy-going plant. Perfect for underplanting trees and shrubs, or for adding delicate early colour to a shaded border or woodland edge.
