Commonly known as Wallich Milk Parsley — and previously sold as Selinum wallichianum — Ligusticopsis wallichiana carries large white umbel flowers that resemble Cow Parsley. Its branching, strong stems are tinged red at the base, with tiered, lace-like green foliage that delivers a wonderfully delicate combination of flower and foliage through summer, adding texture and lightness to the middle of a border.
Naturalistic in appearance, it suits an informal planting scheme — a woodland or cottage garden — but allow space around it to admire its strong architectural form. It is also a superb wildlife plant, attracting a wide range of insects. It grows best in a reasonably rich, free-draining soil that retains some moisture, in full sun or partial shade.
