Plants are dispatched in growing condition and may not be in full flower. If too tall to pack safely, we may cut them back — this helps them establish more quickly. Read our Mail Order FAQs.
Commonly known as Milky Loosestrife, Lysimachia ephemerum forms a neat, columnar clump of grey-green leaves. In summer, tall upright spikes emerge densely set with white buds that open progressively from base to tip into delicate cream flowers — a quietly elegant display.
Stunning towards the back of a border or alongside a watercourse, it prefers moist soil but will cope in any reasonably good garden soil. A favourite with florists as a cut flower, it can be divided in late spring to increase stock.
