Monarda ‘Beauty of Cobham’ bears upright stems carrying soft purple-pink flowers like jesters’ hats — narrow petals and purple bracts rising above greenish-purple, spear-shaped, aromatic leaves. With a long flowering season from July into autumn, it proves irresistible to bees and other pollinators.
A classic ingredient of a cottage garden or herbaceous border, it adds soft colour, structure, and texture to the middle tier. It thrives in any humus-rich, fairly fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
