'Kit Cat' in full bloom is a stunning sight: upright spikes densely packed with intense lavender-blue flowers over neat, scented green foliage. Despite its compact, rounded form it punches well above its weight, flowering almost continuously from May through to September if you cut back faded spikes hard to encourage fresh growth.
Superb for edging a path or raised bed, and a particularly useful alternative to lavender in more exposed or colder situations where Lavandula may struggle to overwinter. Where space is tight, it thrives in a sunny windowbox, attracting bees and butterflies throughout summer. Easy to grow in light, free-draining soil in sun or partial shade.
