Commonly known as Golden Oregano or Golden Marjoram, Origanum vulgare 'Aureum' is a bushy perennial with small, rounded, vibrant golden-yellow leaves and clusters of light pink to white tubular flowers in summer.
As a culinary herb it is a natural choice for a kitchen garden, but it earns its place in any sunny border or gravel garden too. Tolerant of salt spray, it is also a good choice for coastal situations. Grow in well-drained soil in full sun for the best foliage colour.
