Osteospermum Hardy Pink

Commonly known as the African Daisy or the Star of Veldt, this plant has a prostrate growth habit. All summer long large pink daisy-like flowers appear above the evergreen, simple leaves.

Perfect for ground cover or for planting towards the front of the border. Native to the Mediterranean this plant requires full sun and fertile, free-draining soils to thrive. 'Hardy Pink' as its name implies is a relatively hardy form of Osteospermum but it is still a wise precaution to take a few cuttings each year and overwinter them in a frost free environment. Deadheading as the flowers go over will encourage more flowers to be produced.
