An elegant Penstemon with slender, creamy-white flowers like miniature trombones, dangling in small clusters along slim, upright stems. Bushy in habit, its narrow, pale green foliage gently contrasts with the delicate blooms.
A perfect choice for a cool-themed garden, combining beautifully with soft pinks, whites and fresh greens, but also very useful for adding highlights to richer-toned schemes. Long-flowering from summer into mid-autumn, it looks beautiful planted in naturalistic swathes towards the front of a border. It is also great for attracting pollinating insects and is resistant to powdery mildew.
It prefers a sunny or partially shaded spot in nutrient-rich, free-draining soil. Hardy throughout most of the UK, tolerating temperatures down to -10°C (H4).
