Penstemon 'Raven' (Bird Series)

'Raven' is a clump-forming semi-evergreen perennial. Ovate shaped foliage covers the upright stems beneath the stunning deep purple flowers with white throats that appear throughout the summer.

When planting in your beds and borders, 'Raven' desires dappled shade or full sun, but is flexible as to soil type. Propagate this plant through softwood cuttings during the summer or division during the spring. Keep deadheading to promote flowering.

Do not be tempted to cut this perennial down before the winter, leave the top growth to protect it. In spring, after the last frosts have passed, cut the plant back hard.
