'Raven' is a clump-forming semi-evergreen perennial. Ovate foliage covers the upright stems beneath stunning deep purple flowers with white throats, appearing throughout summer.
Happy in dappled shade or full sun and flexible as to soil type. Keep deadheading to promote flowering. Propagate through softwood cuttings in summer or by division in spring. Do not be tempted to cut this perennial down before winter — leave the top growth to protect it. In spring, after the last frosts have passed, cut the plant back hard.
