Potentilla atrosanguinea

Commonly known as the Dark Crimson Cinquefoil, Potentilla atrosanguinea is native to the Himalayas. Its attractive grey-green, strawberry-like palmate leaves are covered in silky hairs. Brilliant orangey-red flowers bloom during the summer.

Plant towards the front of your flower borders in full sun and any well-drained soil. After flowering remove the spent stems. To maintain vigour you can lift and divide this plant during the spring.
