Commonly known as Cinquefoil, this Potentilla forms a delightful clump of deep green, strawberry-like foliage with toothed margins. Throughout summer, pure white single flowers with a vibrant yellow centre open from round green buds.
'White Queen' thrives in sun or partial shade and is happy in any reasonable soil, making it an ideal plant for underplanting shrubs or for the front of borders and flower beds. A great addition to a white garden, it is tough enough for exposed situations too. If it hasn’t died back over winter, cut it back hard in spring.
