Commonly known as Bee’s Primrose or Candelabra Primula, Primula beesiana is native to China. A rosette of bright green, lightly textured foliage forms at the base of an upright stem bearing tiered whorls of deep rose-carmine flowers with a distinctive yellow eye in late spring and early summer.
Ideal for brightening a damp area, it thrives in moist soil in sun or partial shade and looks wonderful planted en masse with other moisture-loving primulas. Perfect for bog gardens and stream or pond-side planting schemes.
