Salvia Love and Wishes ('Serendip6'PBR)

This very striking Salvia, with its exotic combination of rich magenta flowers opening from purple buds on dark purple stems, has become extremely popular since its launch in 2015 and for good reason.  Bushy and upright, even its foliage is attractive, with lush green scented leaves finely edged with purple. 

Bred in Australia as part of the 'Wish' series by John Fisher, it flowers its socks off from June until late October, only to be stopped by the first frosts of autumn. The perfect plant for a small garden where every plant must perform, it prefers a fertile, free draining soil in full sun. Ideal too for a container on a hot sunny terrace, its nectar rich flowers attracting bees and other pollinators in their droves.
