Plants are dispatched in growing condition and may not be in full flower. If too tall to pack safely, we may cut them back — this helps them establish more quickly. Read our Mail Order FAQs.
A long-flowering cultivar, Salvia patens 'Dot's Delight' bears large, two-toned, bright blue and white, hooded flowers on green stems with neat, sage-scented foliage. Particularly prized for its striking blooms, it flowers throughout summer and is much loved by bees and other pollinators.
Light and airy in form, grow it where you can best enjoy the combination of colour and scent — at the front of a sunny border or in containers around a courtyard. Do not cut down fully until the frosts have finished. It grows best in well-drained soil in full sun. Hardy's launched 'Dot's Delight' at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show on behalf of the breeder in 2007.
