Senecio pulcher

Commonly known as 'Tyermans Groundsel', it carries large, vivid pink daisies, with bold golden centres on upright stems above basal rosettes of fresh green foliage, from late summer through the autumn.

Native to wet valleys and flooded rocky areas in South America, it would prefer a sheltered, sunny position in your garden such as adjacent to a south-facing wall, but needs a cool, deep, nutritionally rich soil, that is free draining. It is perfect for adding some strong, vivid, colourful oomph to a late season border, but looks equally good grown in a container around a terrace.
