Seseli gracile

This is a rarely seen native of dry European grasslands and is perfectly suited to gravel and drier, sunny gardens. The fine fennel-like foliage is mid-green and the flowers are small, yellow and held in umbels above the foliage. Loved by bees and other pollinators, it makes a clump of soft growth each year.

Fully hardy in the UK as long as it is given good drainage. Seeds can be collected and sown immediately in autumn. Summer flowering; the flowers and foliage are good in cut arrangements. A great plant for adapting to climate change and rain only gardens.
