Commonly known as False Lupin, Thermopsis lanceolata has striking yellow, lupin-like flowers held on tall upright stems in late spring, followed by attractive seedpods.
Any well-drained, reasonably fertile soil is ideal for this perennial. It prefers sun but tolerates light shade, making a beautiful addition to flower borders and is loved by bees and other pollinators. Established plants resent root disturbance.
