‘Mountain Breeze’ produces a mass of flower spikes, each covered in pale blue flowers, during late spring and early summer. Its evergreen, lance-shaped foliage forms a carpet of green throughout the year. A charming form of Veronica kemulariae, originally from the Caucasus Mountains, it was developed through an extensive selection programme by Walberton’s Nursery and launched by Hardy’s at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2016.
It thrives in any reasonably good soil in sun or partial shade, making it perfect for the front of borders or as an edging to paths and walkways. Cut the flowers back once they have finished to maintain its compact, tidy habit.
