Elegant slender flower spikes provide pink firework-like blooms during late summer. The green, lance-shaped foliage forms whorls around tall, erect stems. Veronicastrum virginicum is commonly known as Culver's Root.
This perennial is happy growing in any reasonable soil as long as it doesn't dry out too much. Great for the back of your borders in either sun or partial shade. The perfect choice for coastal locations; this is a plant that can deal with salt spray. Bees and other pollinators go mad for f. roseum, making it an ideal choice for a wildlife garden.
