Beautiful, large golden green, heart shaped leaves with prominent veins form a large clump from late spring until autumn.
'Sum and Substance' is meant to be the first slug resistant Hosta and in our experience this certainly seems to hold true for the majority of the time. Ideal for shade or dappled shade with a humus-rich, moisture-retentive soil it is a fantastic plant for under-planting trees or shrubs or growing as a specimen plant in a container.
