Commonly known as the False Lupin, Thermopsis lanceolata has striking yellow, lupin-like flowers in late spring, which attract bees and butterflies, and are followed by attractive seedpods.
Sometimes called the Carolina Lupin, this rhizomatous, herbaceous perennial has a mound of three lobed, palmate leaves and tall spikes of pea-like yellow flowers that are a draw for bees.
