A most unusual Silene, and different from any others in cultivation, this plant has basal rosettes of dark green lanceolate leaves and tall drumstick like heads of small maroon pink fragrant flowers.
Another attractive member of the campion family with delicate white tubular flowers with balloon-like calyx that appear over low mounding cushions of waxy, pale green foliage.
Commonly known as 'Bladderwort' or 'Fringed Campion', it carries clusters of single, white flowers with frilly petals and chunky, fresh green calyx, on tall stems above mounds of green foliage.
