Silene 'Rollie's Favorite'PBR
Height x Spread: 40cm x 40cm
Masses of soft pink flowers are held in clusters, on shorter, slightly fuzzy stems above mounds of mid green foliage. This eye catching, but more compact form of Silene, will flower its socks off during late spring/early summer, as it is a sterile hybrid.
To encourage repeat flowering, just cut faded stems back by half. Its slightly trailing habit makes it ideal for the edge of a raised bed, or near steps where it can gently sprawl, visually blurring the boundary. An excellent container, ground cover or rockery plant, butterflies love it too. Easy to grow, it needs a fairly fertile, free draining soil that is alkaline to neutral, away from winter wet to thrive. Full sun or part shade.
