Anaphalis triplinervis
Height x Spread: 30cm x 30cm
This plant is grown both for its pretty, papery, white flowers and the wonderful silver-grey hairy foliage that is so useful as a foil for other foliage in the border. As with many plants with silver foliage, it indicates that this plant likes a sunny spot.
Its tolerance of quite poor soils and ability to make good looking clumps despite them, makes it ideal for a gravel garden or the front of a sunny, well-drained border. It combines beautifully with blues and yellows, plus purple foliage.
