Aquilegia vulgaris var. stellata 'Christa Barlow' (Barlow Series)
Height x Spread: 75cm x 30cm
This Aquilegia produces eye-catching, rounded bobbles of dark purplish-blue, double flowers in late spring that gently nod above mounds of pale green deeply divided foliage.
'Christa Barlow' looks rather delicate, but is actually quite robust and easy to grow. Plant it where its elegant form can be best enjoyed, such as popping out of a border towards the front or combined with late spring bulbs. It prefers sun or part shade, and any reasonable soil.
Harmful if eaten.
