Aquilegia vulgaris var. stellata 'Nora Barlow' (Barlow Series)
Height x Spread: 90cm x 30cm
A beautiful old variety with double spurless flowers in late spring, held on strong wiry stems over blue-green foliage. The rounded heads are formed from narrow deep, dusky pink petals tipped with pale green.
This delicious flower looks wonderful combined with Aquilegia vulgaris var. stellata 'Ruby Port' or late spring flowering bulbs. Like many Aquilegia, it will cross breed readily, so be prepared to weed out unwanted seedlings. These short lived perennials are well worth growing to give a good show in the mixed border, either in sun or part shade, in any reasonable soil.
Available for Mail Order from April - August
