Thalictrum aquilegiifolium 'White Cloud'
Height x Spread: 100cm x 40cm
This delicate looking herbaceous perennial has fine, dark stems and grey/green leaves. From May to July, it produces large clusters of white fluffy flowers from lilac buds and is a magnet for bees.
It is a clump forming plant that when fully grown can be divided in spring. Happiest in semi shade but it will tolerate full sun if the soil conditions good. It needs rich fertile soil that is moist but well drained.
It will add dramatic interest to the back of the border; but looks glorious when included in soft woodland edge plantings with Fern, Hosta, Brunnera and Astrantia combinations. Give it a bit of space, 50cm approx. to ensure good airflow around the plant.
