Astrantia major subsp. involucrata 'Moira Reid'

An older garden variety with very large white and green flowers held on slender but strong stems, which are taller than most. With this being a sub species, the flowers and also the foliage have a slightly different shape.

A favourite with many of us at the nursery, it makes quite an impact in a border, flowering for weeks on end.   Although it can take a bit longer to make large clumps, 'Moira Reid' is well worth growing.  Full sun and a good fertile soil are best.
