Dianthus carthusianorum 'Rupert's Pink'
Height x Spread: 15cm x 25cm
An exciting new ankle-high cultivar of Dianthus carthusianorum, 'Rupert's Pink' has been specially bred for its combination of scented, rosy lipstick-pink frilly flowers and compact grass-like evergreen foliage.
Easy to grow and hardy to boot, it needs a well-drained soil in full sun to thrive. Its delicacy and scale would be shown off best perhaps in a gravel or rock garden, but with time it bulks up and gently spreads to create attractive ground cover. Alternatively plant it in a sunny window box for a long lasting fragrant display. Butterflies and honey-bees love it too.
