Chelone obliqua
Height x Spread: 75cm x 50cm
Chelone obliqua commonly known as Turtlehead due to its distinctive two-lipped, pink tubular flowers which it bears atop stiff upright stems with deep green leaves, during the autumn. The flowers are followed by attractive seedpods.
It can be planted in any reasonable but moist soil and prefers a sheltered location in either a sunny or partially shaded location.
The seeds can be an irritant so direct contact with these should be avoided.
