Dahlia 'David Howard'
Height x Spread: 90cm x 60cm
Large, double, burnt orange flowers contrast beautifully with the dark bronze foliage from July until September. This Dahlia was introduced by nurseryman David Howard of Howard's Nurseries in Norfolk , it was a chance seedling selected from Dahlia ‘Bishop Of Llandaff’.
D. 'David Howard' will thrive in a fertile, humus rich well-drained soil in full sun. In colder areas, lift, dry and store tubers frost-free once autumn frosts have blackened the foliage. In milder areas tubers can be left in but protect the crown with mulch.
