Disporopsis undulata
Height x Spread: 45cm x 45xm
An interesting plant for the shade. Compact yes, but evergreen with gently arching stems from which small lemon-scented creamy white flowers with yellow throats heavily splashed with purple dangle from late spring into early summer, shining out against glossy dark green leaves.
Hailing from China, this charming perennial is perfect for a woodland setting but would also add texture and interest to any shady area of the garden as long as the soil was moist, free draining soil and enriched with humus. Showcase its naturalistic good looks by combining it with finely cut ferns, Galium odoratum or Epimedium varieties.
