A vigorous matt forming plant that is ideal to use as ground cover, this semi-evergreen perennial has purple-bronze leaves and white flowers. Every few years you can lift and split the plant in early spring, this will help to maintain vigour.

Happy in sun or partial shade, although brighter conditions are best for the leaf colour. The flowers appear from June to September and are attractive to pollinators. Originating in New Zealand, this plant is perfectly adapted to UK temperatures, but needs good drainage at all times. This means it will fit happily into gravel, wildlife, courtyard and coastal gardens and can also be used in containers, beds and border edges. Any good soil is ideal as this plant has no specific pH requirements.
