Geranium sanguineum 'Album'
Height x Spread: 30cm x 60cm
This long flowering form of 'Bloody Cranesbill' delivers a carpet of bright white large saucer-shaped flowers above small, deeply lobed dark green foliage, which turns red in the autumn.
A classic cottage garden plant, it is both very versatile and low maintenance. Just trim back faded flower stems to encourage further blooms. Use it as decorative ground cover suppressing weeds, within a border or as an ingredient in a wildflower meadow. Bees will seek it out. Not particularly fussy it will grow in any fairly fertile soil with some drainage. It prefers a sunny or partial shade spot.
